Powering Up: Equipping Workplaces to Respond to Tech-Facilitated Abuse

April 14 @ 1:00 pm2:00 pm EDT

Everyday, people use technology to harm strangers, their partners, exes, and even coworkers. Yet employers may not recognize these forms of technology-facilitated abuse (TFA) when they disrupt work and impact their employees. TFA harms a person’s job performance, compromises their physical safety, and makes them feel afraid and alone. People experiencing TFA should not have to face this harm alone.

In this webinar, employers and survivor advocates will learn: – how to identify technology-facilitated abuse, – how employers can support their employees who are being targeted, and – how to mitigate the risks that lead to this harm in the workplace.

Leading Victims’ Rights attorneys Carrie Goldberg and Naomi Leeds will discuss how they address employment sabotage, how advocates can support survivors experiencing TFA, and what employers can do to prevent TFA from derailing their employees’ safety and professional futures. Service providers will gain essential knowledge and practical tools to help survivors recognize and respond to workplace TFA while maintaining their employment and their economic stability.
